My kids went and did yard work for a family from church today, along with some other young people from our church. After bagging 10 bags full of leaves and hauling them away, the opened all the bags at a friends house and made a huge pile of leaves!
Great pictures, Stacy! I love those crisp fall days when we can get outside in the sunshine and rake up the leaves. We had so much wind this year that our leaves were "raked" away the to the farmer's field. Not that I'm complaining...there's always next year.
Thank you for mentioning the chicken poop. My five year old daughter is very sad about having to deal with cow poop while my six year old son thinks it smells good. Thank you for being real.

Thank you for sharing the not so great parts of country living. My five year old daughter is very sad about having to deal with cow poop while my six year old son thinks it smells good. Thank you for being real. :)
Stacy is the wife of Pastor James McDonald of Providence Church and Family Reformation Ministries. She is the mother of ten precious blessings, and the grandma of one treasured cuddle bug, so far! Surely, she is and does other things, but these are the most significant to her. Stacy is also the author of Raising Maidens of Virtue and co-author of the popular new book, Passionate Housewives Desperate for God (www.passionatehousewives.com).
If you are a wife and mother, please know that your role in the home is invaluable! I pray your visit here reminds you of the immeasurable blessings and responsibilities of this most sacred calling! So grab a cup of tea and pull up a chair. Let's have a good chat...

I LOVE that song! Me, too,...some day. :(
My boys enjoyed looking at this one. The 7 yr old said that one day he wants to rake leaves and jump in them.
